Amazing Women’s Collective

The Tall Poppy
Movement

Tall Poppy Syndrome — some are familiar with the term but for those who aren’t, it is the intense scrutiny, criticism and ultimately cutting down of high achievers’ accomplishments and successes. And you have been a high achiever whether you know it or not. Explore our philosophy.

Three diverse women’s faces embedded in a tall red poppy field, viewed from below.

Intersectionality ✳ Unity ✳ Community ✳ Judgement-Free ✳ Unapologetic

01 / Our collective

Let every woman
stand tall.

From the moment your were culturally defined as female you have been undervalued, underestimated, undermined, patronized, objectified, overlooked, gaslit, excluded, exploited, interrupted, infantalized, bullied, dismissed, marginalized and more. We need to remind each other to stand tall to build the world we need.

02 / What we stand for

The collective power of us.

01

There are over 1000 women’s charities and non-profits that address a range of women’s issues. Some are niche. Some intersect with other marginalized groups. This makes it tough for you to keep track of all the amazing work going on and our collective ability to amplify it. We are going to work on getting members a customizable way to access information important to you.

02

Whether it is International Women’s Day or a response to the increase in domestic violence, there are a lot of communications from a variety of women’s organizations getting lost or ignored. It maybe a colleague, an organization, a stranger or a family friend, supporting women’s advocacy is critical regardless of its direct impact on you. We know the model of escalation starts with marginalized women and spreads to our entire gender.

03

Girls’ club code means lending a hand whenever you can. It could be as simple as providing advice on a coffee break to full mentoring or providing introductions and connections on contracts and job opportunities. Our networks are fragmented and can exclude others without intention. Level-entry to executive level, no one is above helping another. If so, this may not be the right place.

The field is growing

Stand tall with us.

There are thousands of organizations supporting women and girls–this isn’t meant to compete with any of them or to replace them. This is simply an online “Girls’ Club” to celebrate and connect us so we can amplify each other’s amazingness. This is meant to evolve as our club grows.

There are no membership fees, no selling of your information, no career level minimums, no educational requirements or other prerequisites other than being female to ensure there is no barrier to entry.
